Barbara was professional and responsive throughout the complicated process of selling our family home in Sedona. We live out of state and Barbara helped us find appropriate people who could prepare the property for sale, she oversaw work that was done and then when the house went on sale, she helped negotiate multiple offers and get a quick sale. I would definitely recommend her and her team for any realty needs in the Sedona area.

My sister and I had to sell our mother's Sedona house remotely from Washington state. Barbara was very helpful with everything including getting property ready for listing, negotiating the sale and navigating a complex closing all while we were remote. What we thought would be easy ended up as a myriad of challenges. But Barbara led and performed so many tasks for us we could never had completed. She and her team are amazing!

There is no way we could have sold the house without Barbara's le adership from start to finish. I can't stress enough how grateful we are for Barbara's professionalism, focus and grace making this difficult time a better experience than we could have imagined. Our property search over many months had seemingly endless challenges. We are so glad that we had someone like Barbara who had the knowledge of the area and contacts in the community to make it all work out in the end.

Sedona is a very competitive market and being out of state buyers added another layer of complexity that Barbara helped with immensely. Our original plan was to find a piece of land and build. Before our initial call I had a list of properties which I thought were good possibilit ies. Barbara knew specifics about each one and we were able to narrow that list down before our first visit. Our land search spanned more than 6 months with as many trips to Sedona. We put in three offers and when none worked out we decided to switch course and focus on an already built house. Barbara had the flexibility to make that change and was as helpful in this phase of our search as the first. We bought a home in Sedona after 3 hours of looking. This was only possible because of al the pre-work that Barbara had done for us. We came from out-of-state and had already filtered through many homes with the help of Barbara. She was professional and honest beyond belief. Most sales people try to sell, sell, sell. Not Barbara she will let you know all the deficiencies of the house and neighborhood as well as the positives: a very refreshing quality you don’t find in other agents. I have to mention another star besides Barbara and that is Gabrielle. She teams with Barbara to follow through on all the details. She is responsive, professional, and a treat to work with. In June 2021, we purchased a home in the Sedona/VOC area. It was a seller’s market at the time and buyers had to be well focused and well represented if they wanted to raise above the competition. Donna Meek of Barbara Baker Realty was our representative in the transaction, and I truly believe that we would not have had the winning offer were in not for Donna. She knows the Sedona/VOC area very well and how to win in that market.

Donna is very personable with a somewhat laid-back demeaner. But don’t be fooled, she is extremely capable and thinks strategically about how to put a stronger offer together. Her approach enabled us to have the winning bid (out of about 10 offers) without going any higher in price than was necessary. It also enabled a fast closing in which everything went as expected, i.e., no surprises.

In addition, she was very helpful in resolving a couple of issues that arose after closing.

We highly recommend Donna for any of your Sedona/VOC real estate-related needs.

Hiring Barbara Baker to help us sell our home in Sedona was a great decision. From the first phone call — which she answered personally — through closing, she and her office were responsive and helpful. Barbara was engaged from start to finish. Early on, she made recommendations about how to best prepare the house to sell. She suggested minor repairs and upgrades that would maximize buyer enthusiasm and interest. She helped us stage the house to highlight the house’s potential. Then she guided u s in selecting the best listing price. Once potential buyers emerged, she managed and negotiated the multiple offers we received and helped us obtain top dollar for the house. Her ability to do all of these different tasks well came down to one thing: experience. We initially chose Barbara because of her knowledge of the Sedona market as well as her communication style. In the end, we got much more. She listened to us and took the time to understand what we needed and wanted throughout. Barbara exceeded all our expectations. Stop looking. Barbara Baker is the agent you need if you are buying or selling in Sedona. She’s a no nonsense broker that knows what she is doing. My wife and I chose Barbara to sell our Sedona house. She had professional pictures taken by multiple photographers to get still pictures, 3D and walkthrough videos. Her experience resulted in eight offers, all above the listing price. There simply isn’t anything I can think of that should have been done different. Hire her.

We were completely unfamiliar with current real estate trading practices and the Sedona real estate market as well. Barbara was very patent explaining how prices were determined by comparisons, with some advancement in price in view of the condition and attributes of the home and property. We believed the asking price was fair and attractive while returning to us a pleasing return on our investment. Got to give it to Barbara, she hangs in there! Barbara has been working with my wife and me for over three years and we finally decided to make the move to Sedona as we found the perfect home. She never gave up on us; consistently provided information on homes that we had seen on Zillow/Realtor.com until that “one” appeared. During the process she (and her team) were diligent to make sure that everything from A to Z was addressed prior to closing resulting in a smooth transition. I’m not sure ho w she does it but she does!
We are currently working with Barbara to purchase an additional two homes as investment properties in the area; not an easy task based on the real estate market boom that is currently taking place in Sedona. But again she came through; we are under contract with properties and again we were surprised with her knowledge of each home and the pros and cons each presented.
We couldn’t be more pleased with our new home and lifestyle here in Sedona! Thanks to Barbara and her team for guiding us along this path, we will be forever indebted.

From our first meeting with Barbara we knew she was going to represent us in the sale of our home. Her knowledge of the Sedona real estate market is outstanding. She set a price point that was “right on” for us.
Barbara was always available to answer questions, straight forward, detail oriented and has excellent communication skills, not to mention her enthusiasm for our home. She is always very positive.
The photography was excellent, along with the staging. Both brought out the best of our home.
She was on top of the negotiations, and was very involved until the day the sale was completed.
In addition to all of that, Barbara is great fun to work with.

Barbara Baker really knows the real estate market in Sedona especially for high end homes. She was very in tune with what is going on there and spoke with certainty on what value our home had. It was worth more than we thought and what other people thought. She was helpful with things that needed to be done to get the home ready to sell and with contacts that helped take care of any issues relative to inspection recommendations.

Is an outstanding realtor. She helped us find a home in the toughest buyers market in the history of real estate.
I most appreciated her honesty in considering our families wants and needs. She provides vital information that is crucial to know when considering a property and is a straight shooter, honest and direct. Again, absolutely helpful and appreciated when buying a home.
She delivers what she promises and sticks to your criteria. She made sure that the sellers fulfilled th eir obligations and was proactive throughout the process including reaching out to our loan officer to make sure everything was happening on time.
In this extremely tough buyers market she managed to build a rapport with the selling agent to make our offer stand out.
With such low inventory, Barbara never gave up hope on finding a house that would suit our needs. She was always very responsive and her wonderful assistant Gabrielle was always available to show us homes in a timely fashion.
Barbara even recommended a great contractor who’s helping us transform this into our dream home.

Barb is great start to finish. She was always our advocate and went to great lengths to help my wife and I become informed buyers. Barb is straight forward, professional and welcoming, especially if you feel you are a novice to the process.
