I've been going to Yoga Rouge for years. The owner and staff are always so kind and welcoming. With so much ugliness in the world these days, I am thankful Yoga Rouge offers a peaceful environment to come to.

As other reviews have stated, the owner is very rude and snobby and the studio is dirty, stinky, and run down. The class itself had almost no instruction. Go to Grace Yoga on Highland Road instead. That studio is beautiful, clean, and they won’t insult you there.
Reply: You are majorly exaggerating what was said. I tried to speak with you privately to let you know how it felt to be spoken to the way you spoke to me when I walked in. If the door was locked, I would've left, but it wasn't. You let me in, but then chastised me in front of a room of people. It was humiliating and I could feel your rage towards me. You can say the words “love and light and good vibes only” all you want, but just because you suppress your anger doesn't mean it's not there. Multiple reviews have stated that you made them feel bad and were rude. You never actually apologized to me. You invalidated my feelings and rolled your eyes while saying “I'm sorry you feel that way.” Passive aggression is still aggressive. It's just indirect. The spiritual bypass here is unbelievable.… – show
We are truly sorry you feel this way. This is exactly why we lock our doors 5 minutes before class begins! You came in 2 minutes before class started without a mat and needing a restroom. If I seemed rude to you, it was not intentional. I was rushing so we could start the class on time. In my book, it is not mindful and is rude to the other people that got there on time and are waiting for class to begin, and even more selfish after class to try to make a scene and steal their zen. Again, we are/I am sorry you feel this way. As I tried to explain, we are in a temporary space and due to Covid we lock the doors 5 minutes before class to allow the class to spread out as much as they like and so that the class can start on time. I even set your rental mat and towel up for you. Maybe you are upset we started the class before you got into the practice space. I was genuinely sorry that you could not find the studio and arrived after the door was locked. However, when you interrupted me when I tried to explain and apologize, you started berating me, calling me nasty names, insulting my physical appearance, calling me a liar and shouting profanities, I realized there was no point in having or continuing a conversation, that you were trying to provoke me. Our temporary studio is not as nice as our other ones, we are aware and are moving as soon as the new space is ready. The studio is thoroughly cleaned after each class. Hot power yoga can be stinky at times, we sweat! The first two yamas are ahimsa, which concerns love and nonviolence, the second is satya, which concerns truth. This is what real yogis practice on and off the mat. I genuinely hope you learned lessons from this experience and find a way to live yoga off the mat as so many of us practice. Sending you peace, love and light.… – show

Sold us a spot online. Got a confirmation. Then when we drove 15 minutes there they informed us we were just on a wait list and turned us away. The lady was very rude. The place is super dirty and run down. Almost glad they turned us away because of the lack of cleanliness. Now I have to try and get a refund.
Reply: nice try. we arrive 20 minutes before the class. No one was there to tell us were to go or what to do. So one of the other class members helped us figure where we could change and get ready. Then when walked is is when we were yelled at and grown out. Also. You have the right number but we ignored your calls. You lever tried calling us before the class telling us we did not have a spot. So nice try again.… – show

So rude. Wanted to try a private session. Had me call back several times, finally told me I needed to send an email. I sent the email and never heard back. Lady had a bad attitude. Why waste my time? Just tell me youre not interested. Disrespectful
We are sorry you feel this way. We looked back through our emails and do not have an email from this name nor is this name anywhere in our records. We realize you used an alias now. We did explain that we were moving and we did try to work with you. Because we get so many people trying to set up privates and not showing up, we do ask that you prepay. I even waived that for you and we never heard back.

Awesome yoga studio! Truly is hot yoga in the best way. Plus they have had awesome fundraisers in the past where you can do yoga with bunnies. Highly recommend this studio!

I absolutely love the Yoga Rouge studios! I started off barely able to touch my toes and after a year of hot power yoga my body is stronger than it’s ever been — doing wheels and dancer pose with ease — and the mental clarity and peace that I have at the end of a class is priceless. This is the first studio where I learned how to breathe properly for yoga practice and the instructors are all so positive and encouraging to make any novice feel welcome. The prices are very reasonable for the quality classes you receive.… – show

I love a good hot yoga session! I found yoga rouge when I first moved to BR and they have a GREAT $30 for 30 deal the first time you purchase. It is truly a HOT POWER yoga studio. They like it hot and they make you work! I feel so detoxed and powerful when I leave. Yoga Rouge is VERY community-minded with lots of donation-based classes, as well as, business partnering to provide clientele with great resources. The studio is very bright, clean, and open. The management is always fun and welcoming and if you can hit up one of the glow night you will not forget it!!!
I will say it can be tough being a beginner yogi at Yoga Rouge. The instructors often don't prompt how to come into a position and if you don't know the names you will feel very lost at times.… – show

The instructors are definitely helpful and always encourage you to go at your own pace. The price is so reasonable especially for the quality of instruction you're getting. I've always been interested in yoga but when I tried Yoga Rouge I really wanted to make the practice a regular part of my life. Plus the instructors there will quickly become your friends!

Wonderful yoga studio. Mostly hot yoga, which scared me at first, but I learned to love it! It is pricier than other places I've been, but you definitely get extra amenities for the price (e.g., aromatherapy cooling towels after a class, amazing teachers!, and all the humidity you could want in a hot yoga studio (:).

Walking into Yoga Rouge is like walking into a second home. Instructors are warm, welcoming, and have diverse teaching styles. The studio is always clean and the classes are challenging but instructors are able to teach customize the class for all students.

Yoga Rouge is a wonderful hot yoga experience! It is a great full body workout, and I personally love the cold eucalyptus towels they put on our head at the end of a session. Would recommend!

I’ve had a great experience at Yoga Rouge! I tried a couple of studios since moving to Baton Rouge two years ago. Yoga Rouge was immediately a welcoming environment. It’s a beautiful studio with a supportive team of instructors. They also have super reasonable prices for students!:)

I had never tried yoga AT ALL before coming to Yoga Rouge last year, and now I love it!! Yoga rouge is truly a studio for ALL levels and experiences. The instructors are supportive and kind, and the studio is beautiful. Prices, especially the student rates, are super reasonable. Nowhere else I’d rather practice!
