Super disappointed with our experience boarding and grateful it was only for one night (though we were charged for two “days”). I don’t understand how this place has so many high ratings and positive reviews; the only logical explanation I can come up with is that people have only boarded/used daycare at Lucky’s and have literally nothing else to compare it to. Boarding prices seem competitive until they explain (when you’re picking up/paying) that it is by the day, not the night, so if you drop off one afternoon and pick up the very next afternoon you are charged for two days. The daycare prices are ludicrous, especially for dogs already there for boarding. The staff are very unprofessional (I felt like I was interacting with high schoolers even though they were clearly much older) and management was rude and unwilling to to take responsibility for incorrect pricing information given to us not only when we called to schedule but also when we dropped off. I’m not sure if this is a case of poor management and communication or if they’re smarter than they come across and are operating this way intentionally to rip people off. Again, I’m so glad our first and last experience was just an overnight board and we didn’t make an even more expensive mistake by boarding for multiple days. There are many better options in Greensboro for boarding and daycare with much better prices.… – show

We boarded our dog here for 6 days. When he went to stay he was a healthy dog with no worms! We know this for a fact because we live where we have to pick his dog waste up & bag it. No worms were noted at all until several days after he came home from Lucky! When I called to informed the manager she wasn’t concerned at all and even stated no way he could have gotten worms there. LOL guess he broke out while there and picked the worms up at the Gentlemen’s club close by. Just wanting people to be aware.… – show

We have used Luckys twice now for a long boarding service (10 days) for our two dogs (both 9 years old)! We are impressed with how at ease they are at pick up and are pleased that the time away from us was not stressful. They are accommodating with special diet and medication needs as well as separate feedings. We will use Lucky's again in the future!

It’s a shame that I have to write a review like this for a place like Lucky’s because, for the most part, my dog has always had an extremely positive experience here. But this last experience was far from positive for her and I. Yesterday I brought my dog here for doggy daycare or any sort of day boarding. While dropping her off, I made the staff aware a few times verbally and wrote on a document that they provide to you for daycare that she has been attacked before last year. Because of this, she is very wary and can be reactive when it comes to being around certain dogs. The staff reassured me that she would be fine and that she would continue to have a positive experience like she always does. I went about my day like normal and then came back to pick her up that evening around 6:15. When I picked her up, I was made aware that she did not have a positive experience at daycare so they ended up putting her by herself for the rest of her stay. The “negative experience” wasn’t elaborated by the front end staff and they had never called me when the situation occurred to let me know what had happened. Today I called to speak to the manager, Beth, and she informed me that I may or may not receive any sort of compensation for what occurred. She also informed me that, when they are bringing in a dog for daycare, they introduce the dog to the other dogs at daycare one by one with two associates there watching the dogs and holding their leashes to make sure nothing happens. In no way, shape, or form is this a safe environment for dogs to be introduced when they have never met before. Usually for other doggy daycare facilities, they do what is called an “interview day” to make sure that the dog is comfortable in the environment and around other dogs. This was totally an act of negligence on Lucky’s end and it seems that they are not willing to take any sort of responsibility for what occurred.… – show

Clean and friendly but always different staff. Some staff aren’t as vigilant and had our dog ouf with others after telling and writing that she was post traumatic due to being attacked previously. Still was charged and our dog wasn’t happy. She was stressed.
