No phone call to tell him it wasn't ready mind you. She told him to come back today from 12-3, someone would be there, and it would be ready. Guess what? No one was there and we live about 40 minutes from the shop, so it's not like we can just pop over there anytime. Our sons wedding is next Saturday. We started these alrerations in late July and neither of us have what we need/want for next Saturday! Stay clear of this shop if you know what's good for you. Maybe she can handle sewing a button, but nothing more complicated than that!

The teacher took the horse & laughingly told me that the horse was young & not ready to work with children. The second horse was also unruly. Multiple adults had to help us with the horse & it stepped on my daughter's foot. I saw even more problems with the next group that cycled through. So many children were having issues with the horses at one point that several teachers had to come & intervene!
My daughter’s injury happened during the portion of the morning where children ride in the arena & are led around by a teacher. The horse was fine at first. Then, the horse decided that it was done. It went to the gate & refused to leave. The lady leading the horse used her body to force the horse away from the gate. The horse shoved the lady into the steps nearby. She got control & coaxed the horse to move on. They made it 30 feet when the horse threw its body into the lady & knocked her off of her feet so violently that she landed back first. She was so close to the feet as the horse started bucking that it could have been deadly. The violent motion of the horse bucking threw my daughter’s face into the front of the saddle (she was wearing a helmet, but it didn't protect her face or body.) She was thrown back & forth. When the horse stopped, my daughter was screaming & blood was gushing from her face. I asked the employees for help - we needed to stop the bleeding. NO ONE HELPED! There was no first aid kit & no plan. No one offered to call 911.The employee I asked for help in the arena didn't even say anything. One employee went to the barn to get, what I was hoping was a first aid kit or clean towel for the blood loss. I was baffled when she came back out, empty handed, & with a confused look. It was a nightmare. I was about to take off my shirt to use for the bleeding when another mom brought me napkins. I decided that waiting on an ambulance or life flight would take too long. I drove us to the emergency room. I saw the owner on our way to the car. She saw my daughter bleeding & her face purple & swelling & all she said was, "Oh no.” She didn't even help me get my daughter to the car. She disappeared. I couldn't believe the inaction of everyone there! I am so mad that this happened. This was no accident. That horse has CLEARLY developed bad habits & knows that if it forces itself toward the gate, knocks people out of the way, or bucks a rider, that it can get out of having to work. Horses don't just do this out of the blue. This is learned behavior or a temperament issue & is negligence on the part of Paloma Trails for having a horse like that out with children.
I don't know if Paloma Trails has just become more lax in the maintenance of their animals? If they are just too attached to the animals emotionally that they are not able to see their problems? Or if they are now at a stage of business development where they feel pressured by their bottom line to put as many animals out there as possible in order to keep the lights on. Regardless, the outcome is that my daughter has injuries & will likely never go near horses again.
In case the owner comes back & says, "Well, there was a bee," I know that one of the out of control horses that day had a legitimate issue. It had a bee going after its hind legs. I don't blame the horse or include that horse in my count of misbehaving horses. The other MANY horses had no excuses. They were just misbehaving, out of control, poorly trained, or had bad temperaments. I am saddened to see this place degrade, but my advice is: JUST STAY AWAY.

DM Roofing Company just finished my new roof. Darvin Melgar (Boss) is very professional and explained everything he would do, from materials, tools, and warranty. After speaking with others in the industry, for what we paid, it's likely he did a blood test to know which were males and which were females. Sadly we paid a lot of money for 1 very small female.

In addition we've experienced leaky sinks due to defective plumbing parts being installed, door knobs falling off, door weather stripping coming loose, glass shower doors getting stuck and unable to close, water heater not working, GFCIs burning out, rebar poking out of the curb, shower heads that need replaced, cabinet doors needing replaced.. THE LIST GOES ON AND ON! Not to mention, if you don't drop everything you are doing and accommodate the repair schedule they will cancel out your request. All of these issues within 2 months of living in a $400k+ house, this is so disappointing. I've reached out to corporate for some type of resolution but told nothing could be done. While my house is beautiful from a cosmetic aspect, the quality is so poor. I would never recommend Castlerock to any of my family/friends.

However His original quote stated specifically ADA compliant and all standard practice procedures I found were to include grab bars in an ADA compliant shower/bathroom for

residential use. Chris refused to install the grab bars unless I paid an extra $615 on the back end of the originally quoted cost. This shower is for a 72 year old widow. How horrible that he would be not only deceptive, but also refuse safety and peace of mind to an elderly woman. In addition to the shower, he was also to install a custom steel front door to the residence as stated in the quote. His crew installed a fiberglass door which he claimed to be superior to steel. That is possibly accurate, but still not what I asked for. A week or so later he installed a flimsy box store steel door that I could probably bend with my bare hands. He told me that I would need a new quote to get the door that he said he would install originally. The new quote was for an additional $4500. Chris doesn't care about his work. He only wants to deceive you so he can squeeze you out of as much money as possible. By this point I was sick of working with him so I told him to paint it and get the job done. The third problem I had with Chris was his worst of all. During one phone call I had with him about the front door He stated "you are being too frustrating to me to have my crew install a different door." I understand that there will always be incompetent companies out there, but how can a decent business owner stay in business if he chooses to insult his customers? As a small business owner myself, my number one priority is making sure the customer is happy. Chris doesn't care what his customers think and his insults are proof of that. All that said, Angel and the rest of the workers were wonderful. If a problem arose they jumped to make it right without question. For instance during the demo they discovered some wood rot and had it replaced within a couple hours. At the end of one day they discovered that the drain was installed incorrectly and it was replaced first thing the next morning. Chris However only cares about collecting his payment. Your satisfaction will not be a concern to him. If you love to shell out money and don't care about getting what you paid for go ahead and hire Chris and Aggieland Contracting. Just understand that you will probably have to hire a second contractor after the fact to finish the job.

Inadequate Repairs: Despite attempts to rectify issues, some problems persist, like:
a. Spa: A persistent rust stain issue in the pebble interior finish.
b. Auto-fill: Chronic leaks in the auto-fill line, leading to complications, which we had to fix at our own cost.
c. Gas Grill and Flattop Grill: Improper installation, gaps, and water accumulation under counter.
d. Gutters: Incorrect installation and water flow problems.
e. Side Yard East: Incomplete restoration after project disruption.
f. Driplines: Drip lines not usable for potted plants.
g. Gate and Fencing: Improper reinstallation with outstanding code violations.
h. Travertine Coping: Promised repairs remain unresolved.
i. Electrical Plug Cover: A broken electrical plug cover near the ***or entrance.
j. Grass Installation: Incorrect grass type planted against contractual agreement.
We embarked on this project with excitement, but once payments were made, Paradise Pool & Patios LLC failed to deliver as promised. We hope our experience helps you navigate your projects wisely. I strongly recommend that you do not use Paradise Pool and Patios. If you do, do not pay them more than half the money until the project is completed. Once they got paid, they no longer cared about finishing the project. After more than a year, we still do not have the P-trap signoff or the Final Inspection sign off. Thus we have an unpermitted pool This is shameful!

I'm curious about the qualifications required to become a driving school instructor. Are there any prerequisites, certifications, or continuing education requirements beyond just being a licensed driver over 21? Was it even a requirement to read the traffic laws before becoming an instructor? Also, I found it odd that an instructor would have a student drive them to their personal residence. Is this a standard part of the curriculum? Leadership roles, especially in education, should come with a higher standard of conduct. The quality of instruction from this and other local driving schools is evident on our roads, and it's not a positive reflection.

with Kelly because I’ve never had such a positive horse buying experience as I did with her. I bought sight unseen off of videos and pictures and the mare that I purchased was better than I anticipated when she got here. My family was so impressed with the horse that we bought and my positive transaction with Kelly that my husband decided to purchase from her as well as two other family members. She shipped my horse to me initially but since we purchased three more we decided to make the trip 19 hours there to pick those up. Let me tell you when we got there we were some kind of impressed because they have a top-notch operation with beautifully kept barns and more quality horses than I’ve ever seen all at one place. I wish I could leave a good review, but cannot. We initially contacted Robert for a new roof in Feb. 2021. The freeze came and we had broken pipes and water damage. Robert was very quick to get a plumber to us to repair the pipes and I thought we'd found a gem! Too many times to even count, he pulled the workers from our house to send to another job, and many times nobody even bothered to let us know that nobody would be showing up. The sheetrock was done first, then the floors. Those two were the only part of that job that went ok. Once the floors were installed, one of his workers took several days (after waiting a week or more) to install the trim. I had to call and send photos several times of the poor workmanship so it could be done again, and correctly...uneven corners etc.
After speaking with the project manager Jr about them not showing up consistently in April (now two months in), Jr promised me via text that they would be there everyday until our job was complete. This did NOT happen. I still had to chase them daily to see when/if someone would be coming to the house. Robert told me he would be hiring a professional cabinet maker to rebuild the cabinets and island. This also did not happen. In June, (now 4 months in) he sent two young, inexperienced employees to build these cabinets in OUR garage. They spend nearly 5 months on these cabinets. They were such poor quality...uneven, not even cabinet grade material...basically plywood with some stain slapped on. The shelving wasn't even sanded. When I pointed this out to Robert, he told me he thought they looked great. The cabinet doors were not even...one hanging lower than the other. The grain on the island was going the wrong way and I could rub my hand along the cabinets and island and get splinters. I finally stopped asking them to repair what they'd done such a poor job on as I knew he would no longer stand by his work. We had to spend nearly 8,000 out of pocket to have these cabinets fixed to an acceptable level, also had to have them professionally painted as the stain did not match the existing cabinets and the wood was so different, only paint would hide that mess. We requested Robert pay us back for that, only to be told we chose to do that...well yes we did, because his company did such a poor job, we could not live with how it looked.
We did hire him also to replace our roof, and I will say there were no issues there and were happy with the results. Would I recommend them for construction? No. Roofing? Knowing their integrity, NO.

This was my experience with K& S Restorations in Spring Texas. I purchased a 1972 Honda Trail 90 that had been in the same family since it was new. It was a complete running bike with a title. Which is very rare. I wanted to have the motor completely rebuilt as well as the carburetor polished and rebuilt. K&S Restorations was recommended to me by one of the CT 90 sites. Sent it back again. Tarih Shah sent me a text with a picture of my piston and said my engine was "toast". I ask why it wasn't covered under their warranty and he stated that I ran it without oil. Which I did not do. I have well over $2000 in the rebuild of this motor. Why in the world would I run it without a $9 quart of oil. I wanted my motor returned to me because it is a matching number motor for the motorcycle. He said it would be $700.00 that I would have to pay to get the motor returned to me ( $700 ($385 Shipping to us + $145 Return Shipping + 2 hour shop time $170)

I took my indoor Siamese cat in to this clinic. She had been sick and went outdoors for several days. She was dehydrated, would not eat or drink, emaciated. . She looked at the can of grout paint that I wanted to be used. She even looked at the back of the can of the paint to see the directions so she could see how long they had to wait for drying time between each Coat. On July 6th, I received the quote in the amount of $1260.12. We scheduled the job to be done on Tuesday July 25th.
July 25th, two young men approximately in their early 20s showed up to do the job. One of them was later identified by David as the manager. The first issue we had was when they came in the manager said that they would not move the appliances or the curio cabinets. During the visit for the quote, I was told they would move everything except the 2 curio cabinets. So, the manager called Jennifer at the office and then told me that she said she never said they would move everything except the curio cabinets. We went back and forth on this issue for a few minutes and then I decided to just let them go forward without moving the appliances because my deadline was to have this job done before Friday morning.
They did the upstairs bathroom, the downstairs guest bathroom, the laundry room, the foyer, and part of the kitchen. When I checked on the status, I noticed that the grout paint did not look right. There was paint on the tile and there was grout that did not have paint on it. I asked the manager if it would look better after the second coat of paint, and he said that they would not be doing a second coat of paint and that would be how my grout would look. I called the office and spoke with Jennifer who stated that it was probably the product that I chose. I told her you cannot blame it on the product if you are not following the directions and doing more than one coat. Stated that they would not do more than one coat of paint.
After speaking with Jennifer and the manager, the manager explained that it is not the product and that it is my grout because my grout was not even. He said that since the grout was uneven every time they wiped up the paint off the tile they were wiping up the product off grout. He then spoke with David, the owner, while I was standing next to him. He told David that there was still a lot of furniture in the living room that they did not move so he could not see what the grout lines were like under the furniture, but he believed that they would have to fix all of the grout lines. David then got on the phone with me. He told me that things come up when they start the job. I told him that they should have notified me as soon as they noticed the issue instead of continuing going throughout the house with the work. They did not inform me of the issue, I brought the issue to their attention. David then told me that he would have to charge an extra $450 to fix all of the grout lines. David also told me if I went with another company that they would charge me more to fix what they had started. I told David that the $450 needs to be for all the grout and all the paint and there should be no more issues coming up. Since I was under a deadline for Friday and I did not want to pay more for a company to fix what they had started, I agreed to the additional $450. I then signed an updated contract that included the $450. The 2 workers that were here went through and scraped the grout lines in the downstairs guest bathroom, laundry room, foyer, and kitchen. I was then told that they would be back on Thursday To finish the job. I reminded David that he had to finish the job before Friday. He told me OK.
Today, Thursday July 27, David and his manager showed up to do the work. Prior to starting the work David spoke with me about the grout painting and told me that it was different than the one he was used to. I asked him if we needed to change out for the one he normally uses Because I didn't want any more issues with the grout paint.. He said that he was going to try a sample area and if it took well he would continue with it. After the sample area, he continued on painting. They started on the laundry room, the foyer, the kitchen, and the downstairs bathroom with the grout paint. David then called me out to speak with me and told me that he wanted additional money to fix the grout. I told him I am not about to pay him additional money because it was just two days ago he gave me the quote of $450 to fix all the grout. As a matter of fact, on Tuesday prior to the updated quote, I even told them to make sure they walked everywhere they needed to walk to give a proper quote this time. The quote that was given to me was supposed to be for fixing all the grout lines in my house. Now, he wanted to charge me extra on top of the $450 additional quote to fix grout lines. I told him that was not going to happen. David asked how I wanted to move forward. I told him I'm not about to pay for a messed up job and I'm not paying extra so “we are done.” He told me that he expected payment for the work that he done. I told him I'm not paying him anything because he did not do a good job at anything he did and I am going to have to pay someone else to fix this mess. He then said he is calling the police for theft of services. I told him fine. He gathered his equipment and left. He said he would be back with the police.
He left my house a mess. Left the furniture out of place in different rooms, left the grout undone, and the grout paint that he did was a mess. There is still paint missing from the grout that he went over with the paint. When they scraped the grout, they scraped it too much and caused big holes in the grout and then just painted over it. So there are gaps in the grout and it is still uneven. They also left the paint can open when they left so my paint is destroyed. They left some paint in my paint cup that I loaned them and they put trash in the paint before they left so the paint can’t be used anymore.

Like any project of this size there were some bumps in the road as the project unfolded. However, Jordan was always available and took care of the issues promptly. It was clear to me that he was much more interested in getting things to our satisfaction than just getting them done quickly. Having issues arise during a large project like ours was no surprise to us. We chose to work with Jordan because we trusted him to take of things when they did arise. Jordan did exactly what we hoped he would. He listened, he asked good questions, he made great recommendations and he made sure things were done to our satisfaction. Jordan was the reason we chose Cogburn Contracting and he was the reason we were so thrilled with the results.

I have heard of contractors who merely sub-contract out all the work and leave the homeowner somewhere in the dust. That was not at all our experience. I thought Jordan had a great compliment of sub-contractors vs his own team. Even though I knew that portions had been sub-contracted, out, all of them were great to work with. They were highly responsive, did great work and clearly valued our satisfaction.
I was initially a little uncertain if Jordan's team could deliver the results we were hoping for (both in terms of price and quality). The final results were amazing. I would strongly recommend Jordan to anyone who is considering a home remodel.

hired Sunstone Pools to remodel our swimming pool in January. The scope of services included new tiles, travertine coping, travertine pavers, plaster, some new equipment, and a gas fire pit.
Within 3 weeks of work, the City of Coppell issued a “Stop Work Order” to Sunstone Pools for not securing a permit and an electrical code violation along with a gas line violation.
Sunstone Pools installed a new gas line for our fire pit in February with an unlicensed plumber and no permit. It took Sunstone Pools 2 months and 4 failed attempts to secure a permit.
An Atmos Energy Representative visited our home and informed me that the new gas line would never work and would have affected other gas appliances in our home and there was a good chance of a gas leak!!!
Sunstone Pools “again” used the same unlicensed plumber to install the second gas line and the City of Coppell stopped construction “again” and assessed additional fees.
The quality of work for the rest of the remodel has been extremely poor with many mistakes and repairs needed. Sunstone Pools and its owner have refused to repair its defective work!!!
We hired C T Brannon Corporation, a civil engineering and aquatic consulting company, to help us determine “how bad.” The 19 page report was conclusive and verified our complaints and additional concerns were noted.
We then hired a swimming pool construction manager with 40 years of experience to conduct another on-site inspection. This study validated the engineering report and provided details on how to repair Sunstone Pools mistakes.
One example is: Sunstone Pools used “concrete blocks” to build our new steps and shell wall “instead of gunite.” This type of construction is seldom used in the United States ever since gunite became widespread over 30 years ago.
After Sunstone Pools again refused to remedy its own problems of poor construction, we hired an attorney and filed an official complaint with the Attorney General of Texas under Deceptive Trade Practices, Implied Warranty of Equal and Workmanlike Services. It is now under investigation.
We also filed a Better Business Bureau Complaint. Please review it.
Our attorney has forwarded a demand letter to Sunstone Pools and their attorney. Their response has not been satisfactory, and I have advised my attorney to file litigation including the recovery of legal fees as soon as the State of Texas allows us through its legal time frames which is September.

arrived with a large piece chipped off the corner. The delivery men took pics and said a new one would be sent and THEY would come replace it. Our assumption was that the hot tub would arrive with the accessories we purchased and that everything would be assembled and installed on the spa but the accessories we ordered did not come until almost 2 weeks after delivery. The speakers quit working 2 days after we set up the spa. I notified the girl we bought the hot tub and she said she put in a work order and we would hear something within 48 hours. A week later we still had not heard anything so my husband contact customer service. They told him there was no record of a work order. When he asked about who is coming to repair the broken piece they said they sent us the piece but we are responsible for repairing it. Apparently the $500 delivery fee did not include putting our purchased accessories together or installing them on the hot tub or removing all of their trash. My husband had to take the trash to his work to put in the dumpster because there was so much it wouldn't fit in our trash can. We are still waiting to find out when someone will come out and fix the speakers. We have now had this spa for almost a month and have only been able to enjoy the speakers 2 times.

Circa June 27, I pulled up at 8:05 PM. They were closing, putting traffic cones up and walking away. I was moving a cone to follow the car that was about 25 ft in front of me. the car wash. That seemed questionable. And as I tried to turn to leave, 3 more cars were pulling behind me. That meant that 4 cars were turned away while the facility appeared to be still working.
June 30 I did get the car washed. About 9:30 or 10 AM. I could not find a wipe-down rag even though I walked to 6 or 7 different cleanup points looking for an unused rag.

In April 2023, I was told by a mutual friend that Bruce Raulston was talking bad about me and my work performance at a church social. I proceeded to tell our mutual friend about our March 2022 experience. She replied, "He didn't mention that part. No wonder Kort kept telling him to be quiet."
Had Bruce not shared his negative feelings about my work ethics, I wouldn't have shared his negative work ethics.
I just want this to go away.

Five thoughts to finish up with: 1. He is incredibly smart about all things mechanical, 2. He will set you up for making a repair that will allow you to change out a blade for the lawn mover versus being stuck getting the standardized company OEM product 3. He is always working and trying to find out if there is a better way to fix a problem versus simply choosing the most expensive, latest and greatest option and sticking to the "Most Effective and Costly Option). 4.If the Nephew changes his sleeping schedule, he is incredibly effective in letting them find Happiness Again by Simply Letting go for now. 5. Simple fiber is who you get your service from, but they have your phones and billing go thru Graybar. Now they are telling me I have a 5 year agreement with Graybar which I never saw any agreement from them. It was only today after they called me again that she said I have it and emailed it to me 8 months after I took out service with them. Now this is another shady practice they use to get you to sign it. Two men came to my office after I already had my service and offered to help me with anything I needed to set up my phones.
