    The food and location was great, but they just really failed with room service. Out of 4 nights stayed, they only provided service once. And that was after they promised to clean more. They failed to bring towels until I repeatedly requested them. This was disappointing, but everything else was good.

    Didnt find bed bugs, but did find a homeless man camped out in the stairwell of the underground parking garage at 9:45 at night. Not a very secure feeling when you leave your car parked for the night and walk by a big sign that reads not responsible for lost, stolen items or damage to vehicles. Reported it to the front desk via chat that night. Received acknowledgement and that they would take care of it.

    Not 5 because I will say that the Indian woman who works at the front desk is beyond rude, arrogant, could care less. Terrible tone and attitude. I understand it’s thanksgiving week and we’re all mentally checked out, but sis —- your attitude was despicable.

    1. I asked for an upgrade because my status allows me to get upgrades depending on avail. She immediately said there weren’t any upgrades without checking. And just said “no we don’t.” Super short w an attitude.

    Had a great stay at the Residence Inn in Alexandria near Carlyle. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was great. Breakfast was great. And the property is just a short walk from the King St Metro Station.

    Our stay here was pleasant. There was an issue I encountered but Simon was kind & very helpful with helping resolve it. The room was decent & so was the breakfast. The lady in the early afternoon was very kind & helpful as well(I didn't catch your name but thank you). I know it has been issues with finding employees for some companies so I wonder if they have considered hiring a team to deep clean the rooms.     I was one of dozens of people who arrived to the hotel only to find out they «overbooked» it significantly. I had a reservation, that means my room should be reserved. Clearly this hotel cares only about excess profit and by overbooking hoping people will not show up. To make matters worse, they didn't bother telling me this until I showed up. Then I had to drive 20 minutes to a lower quality hotel in a location I wasn't interested in. The icing on the cake, was I have spent multiple phone calls – show

    Excellent stay. Very clean, pleasant staff, and within walking distance of everything in Old Town. Highly recommend.

    Traveling for work. Flea infestation room 808. Clustered in the carpet under the desk by the window in the sitting area. Made complaint, changed rooms. Did some research. Told a random housekeeper that my room has fleas/bedbugs. She gave me a bottle with yellow liquid. I do not know the contents. It was curious to me that she didn't advise I go to front desk. Asked a random staff member about pets and hotel does accomodate pets, said there is a deep clean that is supposed to be done after all st – show

    Not well managed property. Staff is slow and provides poor service. Marriott needs to intervene. The gym has a sewer pipe leaking into a bucket splashing around for months. Poor air flow in the rooms, the air conditioning unit doesn't seem to come close to the setting and they allow pets so I find my breathing suffers here, I suppose from allergies. The beds are a bit worn. They replaced my towels and a large curly black hair was presented right on the front of the wash cloth, how nice.

    Pros:
    The breakfast provided was nice
    I had a studio room which was nice and large/comfy
    About 10 minutes from the Dock and King street

    Cons:
    1)The walls were thin (ceiling and room to room walls)
    2) Several of the outlets in the room did not work
    3)The employees are rude (Other reviews said this, but I figured it couldn't be that bad well I was wrong)
    -They did not explain the amenities
    -When I asked about additional charges, my questions were dismissed/ disregarded. So make sure you are watch

    Starting to look run down. Breakfast is meager.

    Positive: The clean bed and room. Negative: The location and general atmosphere. The people hanging out in their nightclothes, for some reason it appeared more residential then a hotel. I would not do this again.

    Got two stars because the staff was friendly. Otherwise — 2 days with no hot water, one night with no AC, difficult entrance with random people hanging outside and occasionally In the lobby.

    The good: fairly nice room with enough space and furniture for most needs. Good location for Alexandria. Breakfast is decent.

    The bad: they charge 32 dollars a night for parking. Rooms are quite humid. Wi-Fi is unsecured. Hotel doesn't allow legal firearms, so feels insecure.
