There are not enough wonderful things to say about Olivia and April at Core Canine. I completed puppy kindergarden with Olivia and was amazed at how thorough, patient, knowledgable, and dedicated she was to teaching us how to raise well behaved dogs.These ladies have infinite knowledge and go above and beyond to make each class special and impactful. The class sizes are small the we were provided with lots of equipment (ex. long leash, a bed, toys, etc.) to use during class to make the training effective. My poodle did the puppy play classes for a month, which were FREE. Now she is over 4 months so we have graduated. It was a great experience with a great pet trainer — the least I could do is leave this review. Thanks Core Canine!

Love Core Canine! I’m a new puppy owner and have gone to core Canine for middle school classes and puppy socials with April and signed up for at home training with Olivia and it’s been amazing! They taught Ollie how to settle, greet humans, tips on when guests come over, how to not resource guard, and so much more! I had a bad experience with another dog daycare/training facility. April and Olivia were awesome and wiped away all the fear I had. Ollie loves all the classes and the individual trai ning sessions! I’ve already booked more:)! Olivia was amazing! Exceeded expectations in every way possible. Our dog is a high energy 1.5 year old recent rescue and we saw a major improvement in his overall obedience level.

One of the things we loved about her class was how she goes around the room giving each dog and owner personalized feedback and attention to match their dogs unique needs. We highly recommend going to Core Canine!

I highly recommend Olivia, who helped with our puppy. We are experienced dog owners but this was next level stuff she went over with me and I feel slightly guilty because our dog learned more with her in an hour and a half than we taught him since he was adopted. Great experience!

April did a phenomenal job with our golden retriever! She helped us with leash training and after just one session, it completely changed how our dog walked on a leash. She was wonderful and gave us lots of helpful tips. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

We really like April's classes and after graduating 'puppy kindergarten', are now in 'middle school'. While some behaviors we don't intend to use, it's still useful to learn new teaching techniques and “touch” alone was worth the relatively low cost of class.

I initially reviewed Core Canine poorly because of a communication issue -- but April reached out to me and swiftly fixed the issue! She was able to fit me in her busy schedule within days of us connecting, and our first at-home visit for my 4-year-old dog, Bowser, was wonderful. I tried a lot of training on my own with internet tips, and it helped develop some skills in my pup…but nothing compares to having a trainer THERE to meet your animal, see your interactions and offer specific feedback based on what's happening. I wasn't confident using online tips because I never knew for sure if what I was doing was right. April broke down a few very helpful tips for me, offering basic commands and exercises (mental AND physical) to help my over-excited boi. I found April to be very helpful and professional, and I was impressed that she even offered a free follow-up if her initial tips did not work out for Bowser. I recommend her services! … – show

Core Canine and April, who specifically worked with my dog, were great! I booked a few months in advance because April books up quickly. She was easy to communicate with via email and text messaging. I believe the prices are very reasonable for the area. My dog, Pepper, is leash reactive so I booked a private training session. April came to our house for the afternoon and worked with us outside around the neighborhood. She modeled for me and let me practice the training techniques so I felt comf ortable enough to continue them on my own with my dog. We use what April taught us every single time we go out on a walk. We are still working on leash reactivity, but have improved greatly thanks to April’s help and consistent practice. Definitely recommend Core Canine! … – show

Highly recommend Core Canine for all of your dog training needs! Just got finished with their adult dog obedience class taught by Olivia who is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher. Prices are very fair, especially for the region.

We just finished the Puppy Kindergarten with our Corgi and definitely see results. Our trainer was Olivia — she is very kind, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain things further if needed. Highly recommend getting your dog trained with Core Canine.

April is the best! My puppy and I have just completed her preschool and middle school classes and it was the best experience! You can tell right away that she takes COVID very seriously, with her super clean room and small class sizes. She was also super knowledgeable and kind. My puppy and I both learned a lot from her and throughly enjoyed going to class. I highly recommend going to Core Canine for dog training.

Absolutely best dog trainer around. Class sizes felt safe during COVID and everyone kept their distance and masks on. April is kind and effective. Best value for money out there. Enrolled my 4 month old in puppy kindergarten and am already keen to sign her up for the next level. Well worth your time and money.

Olivia (no relation to me) was incredible. She introduced a very excitable dog to down, place, touch, stay, and drop-it in a single session and had him doing all of those by the end of our time together. More importantly: she understood what our dog needed in ways that we didn't and was able to clearly communicate what we needed to do in our time together. We definitely feel like we understand him so much better now, and he's making great progress. Can't recommend her enough.

My husband and I just completed the group training course with our dog and we couldn't be more thrilled! April is a fantastic trainer that equipped us with effective and useful strategies to teach our dog all the basic commands. He's learned a ton! She provides us with helpful handouts of everything learned in class and is responsive to any questions you may have. Best yet, April respects and works with each dog's comfort zone and unique personality. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed each session. Her prices are also extremely reasonable, especially for this area. We just finished our first private session with April, and we couldn't be happier! Our 5 month old puppy has previously been uncomfortable with visitors in his space. Since the session was in our home, April was able to show us first hand some great strategies to help him settle down. She listened to all of our rambling about behaviors we've noticed in our puppy and agreed with what we wanted to prioritize in terms of his training; she was even able to quickly identify and work towards resolving a trigger we didn't even know our dog had! If we tried something and it didn't work, April knew how to help us adjust our behavior so we could better communicate with our dog.

I am very much not a risk taker in terms of health — I was perfectly comfortable having April in our home. Everyone remained masked and we easily maintained social distance during the session. She was very respectful and conscious of her actions in regards to keeping everyone safe, which is much appreciated.

We definitely got more than our money's worth with this session. April was great with our puppy, we learned so much about new ways to engage our puppy, and we covered every single topic we brought up throughout the session. On top of being a great trainer, April was also just genuinely fun to hang out with.

Overall, we had such a great experience that we went ahead and registered our puppy in Core Canine's kindergarten class. We can't wait to learn more with him and help him live his best life! … – show

April is the best! We attended the 5 week puppy kindergarten class which was great for socialization and puppy manners. We have a private session scheduled in a few weeks to continue training. Would definitely recommend!
